U14s v Bruff
Pan munster Cup
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our U14s travelled to Bruff Sunday morning for their second round of the Pan munster Cup, this was always going to be a tough assignment with Bruff fresh off their North munster leauge final victory and with the loss of Captain Paddy Ryan the odd were always going to be stacked against us. Burff was by far the stronger team applying pressure with their line speed and counter rucking and very slick in their back line.
Thurles are only starting to find their feet in top flight competition and can take a lot of positives from the game, especially in the scrum when they pushed Bruff of their scrum which lead to Thurles only try of the game with Danny Corcoran getting in to the left of the posts and conversion was put over by Shea Fogarty. Charlie Long and James maher put in solid shifts bit ultimately Bruff were far superior on the day.
The Thurles boys to their credit fought had and battled till the end, they move onto the next round next Sunday at home to Waterford/Tramore.
