Thurles u18 boys defended their unbeaten home record for this season in a comprehensive win over a very physical Killarney/Castleisland side. They showed an excellent defensive display in the first half to deny Killarney/Castleisland a score. Twenty five minutes into the game the first score came from Jack Kavanagh who spotted a gap at the side of a ruck and dived over the line. This put Thurles ahead 5 - 0 at half-time. Thurles started strong in the second half with some good ball handling skills leading to a try from Nick Cooney. The try of the game came 5 minutes from the end when David Conway made a great break from the back of a scrum inside his own 22 and off loaded to Darren O Sullivan who scored the try. Man of the Match performance came from Eoin Ryan playing 2nd centre on the day. This was a great performance all round keep up the good work lads!
