Killorglin RFC. 12 Thurles entertained Kerry Side Killorglin on Sunday afternoon last in the First round of the Munster Junior Plate, the division of class was very obvious as Thurles raced into a 19:0 lead early with try’s from Colin Nolan, Eoghan O’Dwyer & Owen Byrne two of which were converted by Seamie Houlihan. The Kerrymen fought back into the match with try’s from Cormack Dunne and Shane O Neill one of which was converted by Luke O’Shea. Thurles stepped up a gear and put the game beyond doubt in the second half with trys from Cathal Hayes 2 Owen Byrne and Eoghan O’Dwyer added to their earlier scores and Paddy McGrath added one more Seamie Houlihan added 2 Conversions. In Fairness to the Killorglin side they came up with very little subs and were walking wounded near the end, the much fresher and fitter Thurles side were much more superior.
